Kai Jones played his last NBA game in the 2022-2023 season, appearing in 46 games for the Charlotte Hornets. During that season, he had an impressive shooting percentage of 55.8%, averaging 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
Although he signed a 10-day contract with the Sixers, he never got a chance to play for them. Throughout his career, he has performed better in the G League, where he played in 48 regular-season and Showcase Cup games, averaging 16.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks.
According to the recent post of Shams Charania, NBA insider and sports analyst of the Athletics, on X(formerly known as Twitter), Free agent Kai Jones is finalizing a multiyear deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, joining their playoff roster.

Jones had been active on social media in various ways before this season. Before training camp, there were rumors that he might not report to the Charlotte Hornets for personal reasons. Subsequently, he requested a trade, and the team waived him shortly after that.

In November, Jones was given a tour of the Clippers’ facilities, and Charania recently interviewed the former first-round pick regarding his improvement on and off the court.
On Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, California, the Clippers will host the Houston Rockets in their final NBA game of the 2023–24 season. They were defeated by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs the previous year.
