Justin Fields never forgets.
Justin Fields, who was the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2018 class, was unable to beat out Jake Fromm for the starting quarterback job at Georgia, so he took his talents to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Martell decided to send a Tweet to Fields that said, “don’t swing and miss, especially not your second time”.
Justin Fields made reference to that when he posted a video of his not-great golf swing on Twitter with a caption that read, “Got a lot of work to do, but at least I didn’t swing and miss.”
Fields led the Buckeyes to a College Football Playoff semifinal appearance, while Martell still couldn’t secure a spot as the starting QB when he transferred to Miami, losing the gig to redshirt freshman Jarren Williams.
Last year, Fields threw for 3,273 yards, 41 touchdowns, three interceptions and ran for 484 yards and 10 touchdowns.
