Tennessee Volunteers’ quarterback Joe Milton sure looks ready for the upcoming 2023 NCAA football season.
Milton attended the Manning Passing Academy (hosted by the legendary Manning football family) at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Check out the clip of Milton’s jaw-dropping deep bomb that left five-time MVP Peyton Manning in awe:
Peyton himself is a graduate of Tennessee, so hit has to be extra cool to see a fellow Volunteer like Milton make a throw like that.
The Volunteers will have a new starting quarterback in 2023, as 2022 starter Hendon Hooker was drafted in the third round (68th overall) by the Detroit Lions. Tennessee opens their season against Virginia on Sept. 2.
The Manning Passing Academy is hosted by former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and his three sons in Peyton, Eli and Cooper. Cooper was a highly-touted wide receiver prospect who committed to Ole Miss, but he had to retire from football before playing a game there due to spinal stenosis.

Peyton and Eli went on to have legendary careers in the NFL, going first overall to the Indianapolis Colts and the San Diego Chargers in 1998 and 2004, respectively. Manning was subsequently traded to the New York Giants in a blockbuster deal that brought fellow 2024 draftee and QB Philip Rivers over to the West Coast.
