Fans were all saying the same thing about J.J. McCarthy after the Michigan quarterback pulled off an incredible trick play vs. Alabama in Monday’s Rose Bowl.
The QB had a rough first half for the Wolverines but still managed to complete a certain play with a defender breathing down his jersey number.
Michigan opted for a backward lateral trick play on a first down in the second half, with McCarthy showing some impressive catching skill as he snagged a one-handed reception from running back Donovan Edwards before spinning and throwing 20 yards to Roman Wilson off one foot right before Dallas Turner brought him down.
He got banged up on the play but managed to complete it.
Most fans thought he was lucky.
