USC’s Caleb Williams and LSU’s Jayden Daniels are not planning to throw at the Scouting Combine, which gives other quarterbacks all of the limelight to change some minds.
With this week’s scouting combine sure to ramp up hype, many quarterbacks who are not viewed as high have the chance to change the narrative around them.
Michigan’s 18 players in attendance this week is a modern record from the same school in the event, so there will be plenty of Maize and Blue on display in Indy.
The Michigan Wolverines will be led in the event by starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy, looking to solidify his status as a first-round pick.

The annual event will once again take place at Lucas Oil Stadium this week, with teams and prospects preparing for a week of interviews, medical evaluations, and testing.
In three seasons at Michigan, McCarthy posted a 67.6% completion percentage and averaged 8.7 yards per pass attempt. He also had 49 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
As a starter in his college career, he registered a 28-1 record.
Last season was his biggest year as he led the Wolverines to their first national championship since 1997. During the 2023-24 college football playoffs, McCarthy completed 27 of 45 passes (60%) for 361 yards with 3 touchdowns and zero interceptions.
