The Michigan Wolverines remain undefeated after their win over the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday, but the hammer could come down on head coach Jim Harbaugh as it’s been rumored that the Big Ten will hand down their punishment on Monday.
Harbaugh is under major scrutiny following sign-stealing allegations. The NCAA is still conducting an investigation but the conference could hand out its own punishment before said governing body’s probe concludes.
College football analyst Jim Weber shared a post from an unknown source claiming that the head coach is facing an indefinite suspension that will come down this week.
The claim also notes that the university is preparing a lawsuit against the conference and is looking for a stay on the ban.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel only recently reported that the Big Ten would likely suspend Harbaugh sometime after Saturday’s game, though he could not speculate on how long.
