Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has made a killing on the financial side of things this season.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise as the 59-year-old coaches one of the most successful programs in college football. However, he’s secured over $2 million in bonuses in the last two weeks alone.
According to MLive’s Aaron McMann, the head coach’s salary has gone past double figures for the second year in a row as he’s made $10 million to date. Harbaugh had a base salary of $7.2 million for this year and has also received north of $2 million in performance bonuses.
He earned $500,000 when the Wolverines beat Ohio State late last month despite being on suspension. He got another $500,000 for taking his team to the College Football Playoff and has seen another $1 million come his way as a result of the weekend’s Big Ten title win over Iowa.
The Wolverines HC would earn another $1 million if he coaches his team to a victory over Alabama in the playoffs and, should he win a National Championship, there’d be another huge payday.
He’s set to lead them out against the Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl on January 1.

Meanwhile, Harbaugh is being linked with a return to the NFL. He might attract a sizable raise on account of that too.
