The entire college football world was rocked with the recent news that Jim Harbaugh and the University of Michigan were under investigation for a sign-stealing scandal. Last week it was announced that Harbaugh would be suspended for the final three games of the regular season.
Many probably assumed that Big 10 Commissioner Tony Petitti had a meeting or conference call with Harbaugh and the Athletic Director at Michigan to make them aware of the upcoming suspension. However, during a press conference, Harbaugh ackknowledged that he found out about the suspension when someone showed him their phone with a social media post about the suspension.
This seems like a very odd way for the Big 10 to handle their business as they are one of the most high profile conferences in the country and this has been one of the largest stories of the year involving one of college footballs biggest names and program.
Needless to say, many football fans agreed that the Big 10 should have handled this situation in a much more professional manner. Here are how some of them reacted on social media:

Even with Harbaugh unable to coach on Saturday, his Wolverines beat Penn State 24-15 to keep their perfect season alive and move to 10-0.
Michigan will visit Maryland next week in hopes of keeping their Championship aspirations alive and will close out the season the following week in a massive game when they host their bitter rivals the Ohio State Buckeyes.
