The Colorado Buffaloes have a ton of new fans through the first two weeks of the 2023 college football season. But are the refs among them?
That’s what Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell seemed to be implying while speaking with ESPN during a sideline interview between the first and second quarter of tonight’s game.
“I’ve never seen som many penalties called on one team in my life,” Norvell told those tuning into this highly-anticipated inner-state rivalry.
Despite Norvell’s pleas, the penalties haven’t been as lopsided as you’d think. Seven minutes into the second quarter, Colorado State has eight penalties for 88 yards, while the Buffaloes have 5 for 45 yards.
but for those watching the contest, they’ll probably say they haven’t seen anything that suggests some sort of favoritism towards one team or the other.
Rather, Norvell just seems to be stirring the pot…again.
