The Georgia Bulldogs are currently in a trend of having someone connected to their program getting arrested for the same crimes.
Former Georgia football All-American and NFL linebacker Jarvis Jones was arrested late Friday night in Athens for speeding and reckless driving. Jones played at Georgia from 2011 through 2012 and was a first-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2013 NFL Draft.
The now player coordinator for the UGA football program has had player speeding issues dominant storyline this offseason.
Georgia had at least 14 players either arrested or received citations for speeding/reckless driving since the fatal crash that killed offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy back in mid-January.
Wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint did not play in Saturday’s game after he was arrested in May on speeding charges.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart commented on the arrest of Georgia staffer Jarvin Jones:

“There will be internal discipline. It’s a personal matter,” Smart said. “I can’t really comment anymore on it.”
Jones has been spotted at Georgia practices and was on the sideline for Saturday’s game against UT-Martin. Jones has been with the Georgia program since retiring from the NFL in 2016.
Georgia takes on Ball State this week. The game is scheduled for a 12 p.m. ET start on the SEC Network.
