Senseless gun violence has taken the life of yet another young person.
Former UNLV football player Jameer Outsey tragically saw his life come to an end during a shooting in New Jersey over the weekend, according to local authorities.
He was just 27.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office says Outsey was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the city of Elizabeth, just south of Newark, on Saturday, Aug. 12th. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities are investigating the shooting, and it’s unclear if a suspect has been identified.
Outsey played high school football at Franklin Township, and was a three-year letterman while playing defensive end, tight end, wide receiver, and defensive tackle.
