Jalen Milroe had a huge announcement this week.
The Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback says he will return for the 2024-2025 season. Speaking on the sports podcast “The Next Round,” Milroe confirmed his decision to be back for his redshirt junior season.
“I’m coming back for my senior year,” Milroe said.
That is obviously huge news for Alabama fans who saw Jalen Milroe transform into one of the top quarterbacks in college football down the stretch.
Milroe struggled early in the season and was not considered among the top pro prospects in the quarterback class for the 2024 draft, however, his drastic improvement in many areas gave him the makings of a strong case for the 2025 draft. He completed 171 of 261 passes for 2,718 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions in his first year as a starter this season, leading Alabama to an SEC championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff.
The Crimson Tide will face Michigan in a semifinal game on Jan. 1st. Milroe went from being replaced as the Alabama starting quarterback following a loss to Texas in Week 2 to leading the Crimson Tide to the CFP.

He finished No. 6 in the Heisman voting this season and is sure to be one of the favorites to win the award as a senior in 2024.
Another good season could very well have him being selected high in the 2025 Draft.
