Indiana State center Robbie Avila might be the nation’s most popular college basketball player right now, having put up a career-high 35 points against Evansville on Wednesday night.
The inspired performance and the eye goggles earned the player a hilarious new nickname as he’s now going by “Cream Abdul-Jabbar.”
Avila had eight rebounds and five assists to go with his 35 points on Wednesday night and dominated the paint, also pulling off some crafty assists. He shot a remarkable 58 percent from the field.
