Incarnate Word University quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. pulled off one of the most impressive throws you will see from a quarterback — be it a college QB or an NFL QB.
Early in the first quarter of Saturday’s game against Furman, Scott Jr. attempted a desperate pass to the end zone as he was falling to the ground. The throw was perfectly placed, as one of his receivers was able to jump up and haul it in for six:
Most football coaches would tell you in this instance to either throw it away or just take the sack, but in this instance, Scott Jr. made the right decision.
Entering Saturday, the 24-year-old Scott completed 73.1 percent of pass attempts for 3,762 yards and 50 touchdowns against only four interceptions to go along with 342 rushing yards and seven rushing scores.
Incarnate Word won 10 of their first 11 games of 2022, with the only loss coming against SE Louisiana on Sept. 24.
