Following UH’s 37-30 loss to Tulsa on Saturday night, redshirt freshman receiver Sam Brown was caught on camera slapping a Tulsa player.
The moment happened as players and coaches greeted each other after the game.
Chris Pezman & head coach Dana Holgorsen issued a statement hours after the game:
“We are aware of an incident that took place following tonight’s game involving one of our players,” the statement read. “This type of conduct is taken very seriously, and the behavior is not reflective of our values or the standards of our program. We are in the process of gathering more information and will take the appropriate steps moving forward.”
Tulsa QB Braylon Braxton passed for 316 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a score to help Tulsa upset Houston 37-30 on Saturday night. He completed 25 of 43 passes and carried 11 times for a team-high 51 yards.

For the Cougars, Tune completed 26 of 47 passes for 386 yards with one interception for Houston.
