One of the most highly-anticipated college football games of the season could be impacted by harsh temperatures.
Fans likely marked Ohio State’s clash vs. Michigan, otherwise known as “The Game,” down on their calendars when the NCAA schedule for 2023 was released. Now it’s less than two weeks away and there will be a bit more at stake due to the current sign-stealing investigation involving the Wolverines.
The latest forecast shows that the temperature will be around 26 degrees in Michigan on November 25, the day the teams are scheduled to face off. Of course, it could be worse, so players and fans alike should feel appeased.
The conditions are likely to prompt both teams to favor the running game, which would play right into Michigan’s hands as their backs, Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards, have been huge for them this season.
Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh won’t be on the sidelines as he is serving out a suspension for the remainder of the regular season. While the NCAA is yet to conclude its investigation, the Big Ten has already issued a ban.
The program seemed intent on fighting the decision but has since accepted the punishment, meaning Harbaugh will definitely be out when this fixture comes around.
