Miami Hurricanes star Hayley Cavinder got the internet talking after she helped ice a victory for her university over Indiana on Monday night.
The Canes women’s program is going to the Sweet 16 for just the second time in its history as a result of the win and the Cavinder twins played key roles on the night.
Hayley made two clutch free throws in the dying embers, stepping up to the stripe to sink a pair of charity shots to hand Miami a three-point lead with 12 seconds to go. The NIL star took a few dribbles for the second, gathered her form, and swished the basket before putting a finger to her lips to silence the Indiana fans.

A Satisfying Upset
The win, a 70-68 result, was especially satisfying as Indiana came into the tournament ranked at No.1 while the Canes were ninth.
Haley finished the game with nine points while her sister Hanna came off the bench to hit a big three down the stress. The latter subsequently took to TikTok to let fans in on the locker-room celebrations.
The Hurricanes are now set to face fourth-seeded Villanova on Friday as they look to secure passage to the Elite 8.
