One of the Cavinder Twins has decided to return to college basketball following an announcement revealing they were both set to forego their fifth-year eligibility after the Miami Hurricanes exited the women’s NCAA Tournament.
The sisters helped get the Canes into the Elite Eight for the first time in school history but would surprisingly opt to leave the team before heading to WWE, where they had already signed NIL deals.
Haley Cavinder has now announced that she will be returning for that fifth year, with her agent, Jeff Hoffman, revealing that she will not play in the 2023/24 season but is entering the transfer portal for the 2024/25 campaign.
“The point guard would transfer for the 2024-25 season instead of rushing a decision in these next few weeks,” Hoffman said, per On3. “The 2023-24 women’s basketball season begins next month.”
“See you next season #year5” Haley announced in a video on her Instagram on Friday.

Haley will not be joined by her sister Hanna. Her return will mark the first time one of them will be playing college basketball without the other.
“On friday the 13th… that’s crazy,” Hanna wrote in the comment section of Haley’s post, adding, “SHESSS BACK.”
According to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, the guard will consider returning to Miami but will also evaluate other schools. She will continue to train with WWE while working on other ventures.
Haley played 35 games for Miami last season, averaging 12.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists a game. She is a 16.7 PPG career scorer in college.
