Gus Johnson had a few moments from Saturday that he would probably like to get back.
The broadcaster is one of the most popular in all of sports and is very well-liked, yet that hardly means he’s not prone to the odd mistake.
The spotlight was on Johnson this weekend as he was in the booth for the biggest game of the weekend, with Deion Sanders leading his men out for the first time as Colorado played TCU in a 45-42 thriller.
The Buffaloes shocked the football world with a victory as Coach Prime secured a win against a Power Five program to kick his era off in Boulder.
Johnson did not have as good a game though.
He called a missed field goal from the Horned Frogs “incomplete” during the second quarter, having previously noted that a pass was caught although it wasn’t, and claimed that Colorado had possession when TCU actually did.

We can chalk that off to early-season rust, though Johnson was completely on point when he called Minnesota’s win over Nebraska on Thursday.
