Kelly Kay, the girlfriend of deceased college football star Spencer Webb, has given birth to their baby boy in the wake of the accident that left the former tight end a casualty in 2022.
Webb, who played the aforementioned position for the Oregon Ducks between 2018-2022 after receiving offers from nine other top programs, died on July 13 last year when he hit his head during a cliff-diving accident in Oregon.
No foul play was suspected and his death was ruled a misadventure by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, which noted that the efforts of bystanders and first responders were futile.
Webb is unfortunate not to have witnessed the birth of his son, who was revealed by Kelly on Thursday, draped in an Oregon Ducks blanket. The newborn came a week before Spencer’s would-be birthday on April 7.
As expected, the journey was an emotional one for Kelly, who has said that Spencer always dreamed of becoming a father.
“I know you’ll be the best one from up above,” she said last August.

“Can’t believe I have to do it without you but knowing I’ll have a piece of you keeps me going. I can’t wait to meet the person that’s half you, half me. I love you forever, both of you.”
