David Daniel, a freshman safety for the Bulldogs, simply got off the universit bus on Tuesday and was promptly hit by a vehicle on the street.
Fortunately, the four-star defensive back did not suffer any serious injuries, according to a report from OnlineAthens.com.
“A freshman UGA football player was struck by a vehicle on campus Tuesday morning after exiting a university campus transit bus, but did not need to be hospitalized,” wrote Marc Wiszer of OnlineAthens.com.
“Safety David Daniel told UGA police that he sustained cuts to his left wrist and left thigh area and police noticed an open wound on his thigh, according to a police motor vehicle crash report.”
Daniel reportedly walked in front of the bus to cross the street and looked to his left and to his right before he got hit.
The Bulldogs take on the Clemson Tigers on Sept. 4th.
