Georgia defensive back Javon Bullard went from competing in a game on Saturday to being arrested by Sunday morning by Athens-Clarke County police on seven misdemeanor charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol.
Bullard was also charged with failure to maintain lane/improper driving, improper turning, a headlights violation, furnishing, purchasing and possession of alcoholic beverages by persons under 21, not carrying and exhibiting a license on demand and holding/supporting a mobile device with his body, according to the Clarke County Jail online booking report.
Bullard’s arrest came hours after the sophomore made his fourth start for the team.
Bullard was booked in jail at 4:57 a.m. and released on bonds totaling $4,250 at 8:30 a.m.
He has 7 tackles and a pass breakup this season after making 12 total tackles last season in a reserve role.
Bullard had 3 tackles in Georgia’s 39-22 win Saturday over Kent State.
