A Georgetown University football player that was reportedly wanted for murder in Washington, D.C. has been arrested in Georgia.
Dijon Williams was arrested in Gwinnett County after being wanted by the Metropolitan Police Department for first-degree murder, according to FOX5DC.
Georgetown announced that Williams “has been immediately suspended from Georgetown’s Football team.”
Georgetown’s football season was postponed on July 13 when the Patriot League canceled all fall sports because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Williams played in 10 games as a freshman, missed his sophomore year due to injury and returned for five games in 2019 as a junior.
