One of the most heated rivalries in college football renewed on Saturday as Michigan and Ohio State squared off in a huge matchup with so many college football playoff implications.
Things got extremely heated in the second half as it appeared as if Buckeyes athletic director Gene Smith got into a heated exchange with a Michigan Wolverines staffer.
This moment went down as TreVeyon Henderson scored Ohio State’s second touchdown of the game to tie things up at 17-17.
Gene was first talking to an official before he turned his attention to the staffer.
“What the f— is yours? What the f— is your name?” Smith asked the official before turning his attention to the Michigan staffer.
“I’m behind the yellow line. Don’t get me started.”
The clip then abruptly ends after an off-camera Michigan staffer swiped at Trey Wallace of Outkick’s phone.

It’s unclear what sparked the argument, but it seems the Michigan staffer stepped beyond his mandated boundary on the sideline.
Whatever the case may be, the moment added to what already was another bitter battle in the storied rivalry’s history.
Smith, who’s set to retire at the end of the 2023-24 academic year, did not get the last words as Michigan won a classic at The Big House, 30-24. It was the third year in a row the Wolverines defeated their rival after losing eight straight.
Michigan now has a date with Iowa in the Big Ten championship next Saturday, and Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh will return from his suspension. Ohio State awaits its College Football Playoff fate.
