A prominent football program has extended a PWO offer to the son of WCW and WWE legend Bill Goldberg.
Gage Goldberg visited Tuscaloosa for a camp earlier this summer and came away with an offer. He would take to Twitter and announce that the Alabama Crimson Tide offered him a scholarship. He posted a picture with his father on social media.
“After an amazing camp and visit, I am truly honored to receive a PWO from @AlabamaFTBL!!!” he said.
Goldberg is a 2024 linebacker prospect out of Champion High School in Boerne, Texas. The 6-foot, 205-pounder is a physical linebacker, who tracks the football well with good read and reaction skills.
Like his son, Bill Goldberg was a standout defensive tackle for the Georgia Bulldogs in the late 80s and early 90s. You can see in the picture as to why he refused to wear the colors of Alabama. Goldberg would go on to be drafted late in the 1990 NFL draft before playing for a handful of teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers.
Goldberg would ultimately make his name in WCW before heading off to the WWE.
