Last week, NBC unveiled its new score bug to great acclaim from fans. This week, Fox sports is getting absolutely destroyed for their new score bug.
During Fox’s first primetime college football game of the season, which featured Nebraska vs. Minnesota, the network unveiled its brand new score bug for their college coverage, and its hideous. Going in the opposite direction of NBC, who went smaller and more efficient, Fox’s is bigger, gaudy and looks completely unprofessional.
New isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it looks like it was created in Microsoft PowerPoint. It’s so big and ugly that it distracts from the game. Fans saw the new bug and they already had enough of it.

Fans made it known how bad the score bug is, and that its hard to watch the game because of it. The size and offset logos on each side is as far as visually appealing as possible. Unfortunately for viewers this is the bug the network will show for the rest of the year.
Whether the score bug will be changed or not next year is unknown, but fans are making it known they want small and efficient bugs.
