Former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Caleb Williams has narrowed his transfer decision down to just two schools now.
According to Oklahoma insider Dean Blevins of OKC-KWTV Sports, Williams has narrowed his options down to the LSU Tigers and USC Trojans for the 2022 college football season.
As soon as Williams announced his transfer decision, USC became one of the frontrunners to land him after former Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley not only gave him a shot to be a starter but took his coaching talents there.
Newly-hired LSU head coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers are also reportedly involved in a “bidding war” for the future Heisman favorite.
Williams took over the starting quarterback role for former Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler, who has taken his talents to South Carolina.
In 11 games as a true freshman, Williams completed 64.5% of his passes for 1,912 yards with 21 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also rushed for 442 yards and six scores on the ground.

Williams will be on the preseason Heisman shortlist no matter where he signs given the star power he achieved as a freshman.
