Former Michigan star Desmond Howard jokingly mentioned Ohio State’s faulty offensive line during Saturday night’s Heisman ceremony in New York City. The comment came after Wolverines pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson ribbed Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud about his team’s head-to-head rivalry win.
Tim Tebow thanked Pickett for standing between the two players before Howard said “better than his offensive linemen.”
Johnnie Dixon III was not at all happy by what Howard said on this special night, so he took to Twitter and called him out for it.
“I would like to apologize,” Howard wrote Saturday night on Twitter. “To everyone who doesn’t have the ability to recognize a fun, good natured ribbing among football rivals. C.J. is good. We good. And that’s all that matters to me. Everyone else can relax and enjoy the rest of their night.”

In the end, Hutchinson and Stroud didn’t win the Heisman. The honor went to Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, who finished with 4,322 yards along with 43 touchdowns and four interceptions during the regular season.
Stroud is considered one of the early frontrunners for next year’s award. and nw he has a chip on his shoulder for next year’s matchup against the Wolverines.
He will definitely remember those words.
