There’s no love lost between the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes, with their rivalry the biggest in the country.
Michigan is currently facing some major heat amid a sign-stealing investigation being undertaken by the NCAA and it appears they aren’t prepared to lay down as they have threatened legal action against the Big Ten while also accusing three conference schools, including the Buckeyes, of conspiring to share their signals among themselves.
“Michigan has sent documents to the Big Ten that the school believes show three conference teams engaged in communication about the Wolverines’ signals in 2022, sources told ESPN,” ESPN reported this week.
“The three teams involved are Rutgers, Ohio State and Purdue, sources said. Purdue, which faced Michigan in the 2022 Big Ten championship game, received offensive signals from Ohio State and defensive signals from Rutgers, according to sources. Michigan beat Rutgers 52-17 on Nov. 5 and beat Ohio State 45-23 on Nov. 26, a game that clinched the East Division for the Wolverines.
“A Big Ten source said the league has forwarded any information to the NCAA for possible follow-up. It’s unknown whether the signal sharing between league teams violates the Big Ten’s sportsmanship policy or any NCAA rules.”
A former Big Ten employee has since come out with accusations in which he claims he was paid by other schools to scout the Wolverines’ signals.
Now, former Michigan kicker Jace Feely is claiming that the Buckeyes have been paying their players for two decades.
“I can’t listen to the BS coming from former Buckeyes who played while OSU PAID their players for 20 years,” he posted to X. “I was in Many NFL locker rooms-Buckeyes were open about how much they were paid.”

Of course, that other teams skirted regulations does not absolve Michigan from punishment if they broke the rules themselves.
The Wolverines and Buckeyes play on November 25th, and sparks are expected to fly. Who knows, though? Jim Harbaugh might be suspended by the time this one comes around.
