Former Miami Hurricanes standout quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who entered the transfer portal late last month, is set to visit with a Big Ten program.
Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Van Dyke will be meeting with the Wisconsin Badgers this weekend.
Tanner Mordecai was the Badgers’ starting quarterback this year, tossing 1,687 yards and six touchdowns against four interceptions. Mordecai, who transferred over from SMU, missed three games to injury with a broken hand.
The 22-year-old Van Dyke finished his third season as the Hurricanes’ starting quarterback. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound signal-caller threw for 2,703 yards and 19 touchdowns against 12 interceptions to go along with one rushing score.
Over his four years at Miami, Van Dyke compiled 7,478 passing yards, 54 touchdowns and 23 interceptions, 32 rushing yards and two rushing scores. The Hurricanes will wrap up their 2023 season against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the Pinstripes Bowl on Dec. 28.
