Last year, Ed Orgeron coached his final game for LSU. After the Tigers upset No. 15 Texas A&M 27-24 and won their sixth game of the season, Orgeron announced that he will not coach in LSU’s upcoming bowl game and his coaching career with the program was over.
In October, LSU and Orgeron announced that they had reached a separation agreement and that he would not return as the Tigers’ coach next season.
If you thought he would be sitting arund not doing anything since he is job less at the moment, then you do not know Coach O very much at all. He was potted in Cabo on Spring Break having a great time. However, he did not appreciate some guys recording him and it showed in his face.
It should be noted that Orgeron is set to receive his full $17 million buyout, so he has many reasons to be filling great.
“I want to take a little time off. I’m 60 years old, I’ve coached for 37 years,” Orgeron said in a news conference. “I think I’m going to have enough money to buy me a hamburger and every once in a while maybe a double meat cheeseburger. I want to take a little time off to find out what direction I want to be in. Today I think I’m not going to coach, but that might be different a month from now. But right now I want to take a little time off and spend it with my kids.”

He clearly is spending his fre time with just more than his children.
It was just two seasons ago that he helmed LSU’s undefeated championship campaign. Since then, he has gone 11-11 and has been accused of improperly handling allegations of sexual misconduct by a player twice in the past year.
