This would be shocking if fans in the Southeastern Conference weren’t so used to seeing something associated with Tommy Tuberville go up in flames.
On Wednesday, the former college head coach’s campaign bus burst into flames on the side of I59 North in Alabama. Tuberville is currently running for a U.S. Senate seat out of Alabama.
All jokes aside, nobody was injured during the accident and Tuberville was not at the scene.
Following the incident, Tuberville’s representatives issued the following statement:
“Coach Tuberville’s candidacy has obviously caught fire with voters…and our bus has, too. We are thankful that no one was hurt in the incident and for the remarkable first responders who assisted immediately. The fire occurred on a test drive shortly after maintenance.”
