Former Duke men’s basketball player Michael Savarino pled guilty on Wednesday following a November traffic stop.
Savarino was charged with DWI following a November traffic stop and charged with the least serious level of misdemeanor DWI. According to a report from the News Observer, the grandson of former Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski pleaded guilty to driving while impaired.
All of those charges were dismissed as result of his plea, according to the report.
Savarino reportedly completed 24 hours of community service, paid $300 in fines and court costs, and is on six months of unsupervised probation. Former teammate Paolo Banchero has a court date scheduled for Thursday as the recent top pick was charged with aiding and abetting DWI following the incident, in which Savarino was driving Banchero’s Jeep while Banchero was in the back seat.
Last month, Savarino transferred from Duke to NYU, officially bringing his time with the Blue Devils to an end.
