Connor Stalions has somehow landed on his feet and gotten a new job in sports.
Former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions, who gained national attention in 223 as the apparent mastermind in Michigan’s alleged sign-stealing scandal, has joined Detroit Mumford High School’s coaching staff as defensive coordinator, team coach William McMichael told the Detroit News.
You read that correctly. Stalions stole signs and still found a job in the sport.
“I got the most hated man in college football right now, Connor Stalions,” Mumford head coach William McMichael told the Detroit News. “He’s my defensive coordinator.”
Stalions, the former Michigan staffer at the center of the NCAA’s sign-stealing investigation, will reportedly return to the sidelines this season with his new squad.
Stalions has been without a job ever since he resigned as a Wolverines offensive analyst in November after news of the scandal broke and was named prominently in a draft of an NCAA Letter of Inquiry that recently went public.
Despite the talks surrounding him, Stalions has not been officially sanctioned by the NCAA, but he is likely to be punished after being accused of failing to cooperate in the investigation.

Mumford is quite desperate for the Stalions, who have gone 1-8 each of the last two seasons and haven’t posted a winning record since going 6-4 in 2019.
The team opens the 2024 season vs. Thurston on Aug. 30th, when Connor Stalions will make his debut.
Connor Stalions To Speak On Sign-Stealing Allegations In Netflix Documentary
Netflix’s Untold will reveal the story of Connor Stalions on August 27.
The company announced that “Sign Stealer” would feature Stalions as he “shares his side of Michigan’s alleged sign-stealing scheme that turned him into a viral villain,” Netflix wrote.
Stalions, the former Michigan staffer, resigned from the university after being previously suspended without pay amid the sign-stealing investigation.
