Since the law allowing college football players to make money from their name, image, and likeness was passed, the sport has completely changed, and Deion Sanders is taking full advantage.
Gone are the days when players went to the program they found they fit the best in; instead, it’s all about who can get them the most money.
Trevor Reilly, the Buffaloes’ former special teams coordinator, has exposed Sanders and the team for trying to get major NIL deals for their players from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
“You paid me $90,000 a year and let me handle special teams,” said Reilly, according to Sports Illustrated.” did all this work in your name and was told to pursue it. I burned through all my contacts in my Mormon community, which is worth about $3 trillion. Now, I can’t get these people to answer my calls because I just found out today that none of my endeavors will happen.”
“I even went to Saudi Arabia and got a meeting with the Saudis, who were interested in pursuing business,” he continued. “I have email receipts to prove it, and you guys let it fall flat on its face.”

Of course, the whole situation is not illegal or against any rules, but it shows how far these programs will go to gain an advantage over each other.
Deion Sanders and Buffaloes Look To Bounce Back This Season
Last year, Sanders and the University of Colorado were among the biggest stories in college football after he and his son Shadeur, along with former No. 1 national recruit Travis Hunter, transferred. Many though they’d be a very good team.
However, after a 4-8 record, things didn’t pan out. This year, though, after a full offseason of practices and a rough year, they will look to bounce back and possibly compete with some of the heavyweights in the Big 12.
