On Thursday, league co-founder Bill Polian told Lindsay Jones of The Athletic that CEO Charlie Ebersol reached out to former San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick to see if he would be interested in playing.
“I don’t know what transpired, but he’s obviously not playing,” Polian said Thursday.
That prompted The Associated Press to state that Kaepernick asked the league for $20 million to play.
As it turns out,, that was fake news, according to NFL insider Benjamin Allbright.
