Don’t ever try and test a mother who is protective of her children.
Phyllis Pena is going viral this week after the mother, who lives in the Houston suburb of Lake Jackson, made a perfect tackle on a man who needed to be arrested. Pena came home from the store at around 7 a.m. to find a man peeking into the bedroom window of her teenage daughter.
She called the police, but before they could catch him, he would take off running. Pena wasn’t having any of it as she predicted his movements and dropped a form tackle on the guy.
19-year old Zane Hawkins faces charges of “possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest and resisting arrest,” per Click2Houston.com.
“The cop fist-bumped me and he was like, ‘Hey, so I heard the Texans are looking for a new linebacker,’” Pena told reporters. “My kids are my life and just making sure I protect them.”
