Kayleb Wagner is one of the most impressive Running Backs in High School Football today, but he’s even more amazing than you think.
The 6’1”, 208 lb Wagner broke Derrick Henry’s state record with 535 yard in one game in high school, can power clean 300 lbs, which is more than what the average person can deadlift, and rushed for a touchdown in the Southern Illinois Huskies victory over the Austin Peay Governors. What makes this feat amazing for Wagner is that he was born with one hand.
Having one hand is not a handicap for the Running Back, but something that shows his dedication. Throughout the years, Wagner has committed to becoming the best player regardless of what people think would limit him. He’s an explosive athlete, a powerful runner, and can lift more than most people will ever hope to lift.
Despite his hand, Wagner has also done something that very few people can say they have, and that’s score a touchdown in a Division 1 school. If his score against the Governors proves anything, it’s that this is only the beginning for the Freshman.
