Last week, a Louisiana high school wide receiver went super viral, not because of something he did on the field of play, but because of his name.
De’Coldest Crawford, a sophomore at Green Oaks High School in Shreveport, recently spoke to local media about the upcoming season.
“I expect it to be challenging because everything isn’t supposed to come easy, so we have to work to win it, but I have faith in us to win a district championship.”
He also spoke about with Jordan James of 247Sports about his unique name that had everybody talking about it.
“My mom came up with my name,” Crawford said. “She named me this because she knew I would be the best athlete out of everyone in the family.”
He is certainly loving all of the attention.
