Four teenagers may have just thrown their lives away.
Four teens have been arrested in connection to a mass shooting that killed two teens attending a birthday party in Douglasville earlier this month. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested the four teens they say were involved in a shooting at a Sweet 16 birthday party that left two teens dead.
The shooting happened on March 4th when over 100 teenagers were at a party and police say the suspects opened fire. The teens that were killed were not the intended targets. Both Ajanaye Hill,14, and Samuel Moon,15, were killed, with seven other teens injured.
The others arrested were, Chance Terrell McDowell, 17; Timothy Coleman Jr, 18; Kingston Cottom, 17, and Chase Terrence McDowell,17.
The biggest name is popular offensive lineman Chance McDowell from New Manchester High School.
Authorities say the incident was gang-related, but would not specify which gang. It’s unclear who fired the fatal shots, but all four teenagers are charged with two counts of mass murder, nine counts of aggravated assault, and seven counts of aggravated battery. Other charges are pending including participation in gang activity.
The families of both teens have set up GoFundMe accounts for Hill and Moon.
