The Michigan Wolverines are in mourning this week after the sudden death of a former player.
Former Wolverines defensive back Brandent Englemon has tragically passed away at the age of 36. He reportedly passed away suddenly.
Cincinnati.com confirmed the tragic news:
“Northern Kentucky is mourning the loss of one of its most decorated athletes.
Brandent Englemon passed away Thursday at the age of 36. The Holmes High School graduate was a football and basketball standout. He played football at the University of Michigan, playing 35 games for the Wolverines from 2005-07.”
Englemon spent five years in the Michigan Wolverines program and racked up 157 tackles, 6.5 for loss, 3 sacks, 3 interceptions and one forced fumble.
The former Michigan defensive back received the Charles Woodson Award, given to the team’s best defensive back, as a senior.
