The Florida Gators are making major headlines this week when Dan Mullen and company offered a scholarship to eighth-grade quarterback Julian Lewis.
“It was big,” Lewis told 247Sports. “I’m blessed. I’m happy right now.”
“Florida they have had some really good quarterbacks up there. I know a lot of the quarterbacks up there, me and Emory Jones are really cool and me and Carlos Del Rio are really cool. I know Chief Borders and a lot of guys there.”
The middle schooler, who is not set to graduate from high school until 2026, is already 5-foot-11, 175 pounds and has a huge arm despite his age.
Mullen left an impression.

“He told me he watched my film and he likes it a lot and he wants to start recruiting me now,” Lewis recapped.
“Phenomenal academic institution,” Lewis’s father TC Lewis said. “The offense and the coaching staff’s success developing the quarterback position is second to none. Such an amazing opportunity.”
