Thousands upon thousands or people are still outraged over the disgusting video showing a youth football coach smack a child during a game this week.
He could be seen approaching a 9-year-old on his team and smacking him twice in the helmet. The incident all reportedly went down at the American Youth Football National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida.
American Youth Football (EIF), the world’s largest youth football and cheering organization, responded to the video by banning Savannah Gators coach Gerrell Williams for life and providing viral footage to the Osceola (Florida) Sheriff’s Department.
After a ton of backlash, Williams would be forced to release a rather weak apology, stating that the child’s parents have forgiven him.
“At the end of the day, I am a man. I’m not going to make no excuses for what I did.”
