Deion Sanders has made bold promises for his current team and the club he’ll take over in 2023.
Last weekend, the University of Colorado Buffaloes hired “Prime Time” to take over as the program’s new head coach. Sanders has been coaching the Jackson Stage Tigers since 2020, and he’ll leave the school after the Celebration Bowl against North Carolina Central on Dec. 17.
In a recent interview, the Pro Football Hall of Famer made two promises: 1. That the Tigers will win the Celebration Bowl and 2. That he and the Boulders will “have the biggest recruiting weekend” in the school’s history:
Sanders and the Buffaloes have already recruited one promising prospect. On Saturday, four-star running back recruit Dylan Edwards announced that he’s taking his talents to Boulder as well. Edwards had previously committed to both Kansas State and Notre Dame before changing his plans.
Shedeur Sanders, Deion’s son, has been Jackson State’s starting quarterback over the last two seasons. Shedeur will also be making the move to Boulder, and Deion has already stated that his son will be the team’s starting QB next year.
