The Popeyes Meme Kid could be in for a huge payday as he’s now a college football player.
The kid in question, whose real name is Dieunerst Collin, has one of the most popular faces in the world as he’s been the subject of one of the most famous memes out there for nearly 10 years.
Collin was caught on camera looking hella confused at a Popeyes restaurant back when he was a nine-year-old. Well, since then, he’s developed into a football talent and was part of the East Orange High School football team that won the state championship in New Jersey last year. He was named First Team All-Conference, County, and Division, plus Second Team All-State.
“We tend to attract greatness,” Popeyes tweeted after Collin’s big win last December. The player also joked he was headed to get him some chicken during a post-game interview.
A year later, Collin’s a freshman at Lake Eerie College. And, given the introduction of NIL, he’s looking for a deal from the restaurant.

“I NEED EVERYONE TO REPOST THIS AND TAG @popeyes I JUST WANNA TALK BUSINESS,” he wrote as the caption to a photo posted to Instagram on the weekend.
The post has attracted over 30.5K likes and 1.5K comments. Popeyes has been tagged a great many times too, so this is definitely a space to watch.
