During Matt James’ stint on the basketball court at the 2022 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, footage would surface of him grabbing one of his teammates.
As the former Bachelor anf football player was getting ready to shoot a free throw, a video showed him touching the chest of teammate Brittney Elena. As the Real Husbands of Hollywood actress approached James, he reached a hand to push her back behind him, briefly putting his hands on her chest.
The North Carolina native soon went viral on Twitter.
Elena, for her part, later confirmed that it was all an accident, writing via Twitter, “He said sorry y’all! It was a simple mistake lol.”
Matt James, who spent mini camp with the New Orleans Saints in 2015, became the first African-American star of ABC’s “The Bachelor”. He was already used to being in the spotlight as he starred at WR for Wake Forest’s Football program from 2010 to 2014. After going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Raleigh, NC native, received an invitation to rookie mini-camp with the New Orleans Saints.

The Panthers cut James before the preseason workouts began that year.
In his Wake Forest career, he finished with 48 receptions for 458 yards and 0 touchdowns. During his senior campaign, James collected a career-high 40 receptions for 401 yards.
