You won’t believe this, but the fake school Bishop Sycamore is being investigated for writing….fake checks.
The now-infamous high school program that misled ESPN into televising a matchup against top-ranked IMG Academy over the weekend and lost 58-0 allegedly used bad checks to pay for a hotel in Canton, Ohio where the contest was held.

“Canton Police Lt. Dennis Garren confirmed Wednesday that hotel management reported the team stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Canton South, 4025 Greentree Ave. SW, on Friday and Saturday, renting 25 rooms.
According to police reports, the hotel reported two invalid checks totaling $3,596. Garren said they were written on an account listed to Education Resources Group of New York, New York.
No one has been charged, but Garren said detectives are investigating and they listed two suspects. Police reports indicate the investigation involves “passing bad checks” or forgery.”
Former head coach Roy Johnson is wanted on an active warrant out of Delaware County, Ohio, and is named in multiple civil lawsuits from businesses seeking payment. The major civil lawsuit facing Johnson is from a Baymont Hotel that is seeking $110,000 in hotel fees that were never paid.
Even Ohio Governor Mike DeWine had to speak on the situation.

“While this weekend’s football game brought concerns about the health and safety of players, it also raised red flags about the school’s operations,” DeWine said in a statement.
