Earlier this month, it was announced that NFL Hall Of Famer Deion Sanders was hired by the University Of Colorado to be the head coach of their football program. Sanders has spent the last three seasons as head coach at Jackson State University where he led the team to an impressive 27-6 record.
Over the weekend, a Twitter user suggested that Deion was just using Colorado as a stepping stone to a potentially higher profile job, to which Sanders was quick to respond.
Deion signed a five-year, $29.5 million deal with the Buffaloes so he seems to be invested for the foreseeable future. However, like many contracts in sports, these can be voided if something bigger and better comes along, such as an NFL head coaching position.
Prime will begin his tenure with Colorado in the very near future and he will have his work cut out for him as the Buffaloes finished last season with a 1-11 overall record.
