On Friday afternoon, the Big Ten announced that Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh will be suspended for the remainder of the regular season.
Harbaugh’s suspension stems from in-person scouting violations as well as allegations that the school conducted in an illegal sign-stealing scheme. The allegations of the sign-stealing date back to 2021.
Harbaugh will be allowed to coach the Wolverines during the week, but he’ll be banned from the sidelines during the team’s final three regular season games. The No. 3 ranked Wolverines wrap up their regular season against the archrival and No. 1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes on Nov. 25.
Following Harbaugh’s suspension announcement, football fans on social media agreed on one thing: That Harbaugh should leave the NCAA for a return to the NFL:

Harbaugh coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, leading them to three straight NFC Championship Games as well as a trip to Super Bowl 47. If he wants to return to the NFL, there won’t be a shortage of teams interested.
