Football fans are losing their minds after learning that Rob Ryan landed a new coaching position with a top college football team.
On Saturday, the USC Trojans announced that Rob Ryan has been hired as the linebackers coach and assistant head coach for the defense. The twin brother of former Buffalo Bills and New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan spent the last three seasons as a defensive assistant for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Ryan now joins a staff led by head coach Lincoln Riley, who just wrapped up his third season with the Trojans. USC went 7-6 in 2024, defeating Texas A&M 35-31 in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Needless to say, countless fans were rather baffled by USC’s decision to bring Rob Ryan to their coaching staff:
